Astragalus, also known as huáng qí or milkvetch, is an herb that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.
What Is Astragalus?
There are over 2,000 species of astragalus, of which two are primarily used in supplements: Astragalus membranaceus and Astragalus mongholicus. For years, Astragalus has been used by Chinese as a dietary supplement for many conditions, such as diarrhea, fatigue, anorexia, upper respiratory infections, heart disease, hepatitis, night sweats, and fibromyalgia.
This plant mainly grows in the northern and eastern parts of China, where Chenland’s Authentic Medicinal Cultivation Areas is located. Its Astragalus membranaceus extract, Jadeimmune™, is a specially formulated botanical blend with three traditional Chinese herbs: Astragalus membranaceus root, Atractylodes macrocephala rhizome and Saposhnikovia divaricata root. The company selects herbs from the cultivated land from harvest to extract to offer customized contracted manufacturing services for herbal extracts and nutritional products in soft gel, capsules, and powders.
